Beyond Gravity

Beyond Gravity Austria (formerly RUAG Space Austria), headquartered in Vienna-Meidling with an additional location in Berndorf (Lower Austria), is Austria’s largest space technology company, with approximately 57 million euros in revenue and around 250 employees. The high-tech company equips satellites and launch vehicles worldwide with electronics, mechanical components, and thermal insulation, and has an export ratio of approximately 100 percent. The company is the European market leader in navigation receivers, thermal insulation, and propulsion control mechanisms for satellites, as well as in the U.S. for specialized satellite transport systems. As a spin-off of its space activities, the company produces thermal insulation for terrestrial applications, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanners. The company is part of Beyond Gravity, headquartered in Zurich. Globally, Beyond Gravity employs approximately 1,900 people across six countries (Switzerland, Sweden, Austria, Portugal, the U.S., and Finland).
