TU Robots

College Sports at TU Wien

We are the TU Robots, the official college sports team of TU Wien, and we play basketball and American football in the ACSL (Austrian College Sports League). On our gamedays, we compete against other universities such as WU, Uni Wien, BOKU, Med Uni, and JKU Linz. Each year, we play for the coveted Uni-Championship in front of thousands of fans and students, featuring an electrifying atmosphere, a college entertainment program, and pure university spirit.

In total, we are more than 100 athletes who train several times a week alongside our demanding daily studies at TU. For us, sports and gamedays mean concentration under pressure, staying calm in decisive moments, and trusting the team when everything happens at once. These exact skills can be directly transferred to daily student life: they help maintain focus during stressful periods, improve step by step, and remind us that as students, we do not go through our studies alone.

Our gamedays are therefore much more than just sports events. They provide a balance to study stress—a place to cheer, recharge, and clear your head. Here, you can celebrate, feel part of the TU community, and for a few hours, leave behind everything that creates pressure in everyday life.

For us, STAY GROUNDED means: staying agile through change without losing our footing – on the field as in the lecture hall.
