Skills
In-depth knowledge of plant engineering and process plant design
Knowledge of creating and interpretating process flow diagrams (PFDs) and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Knowledge of the design and specification of equipment, pipework, valves and other plant components
Knowledge of mass and energy balances, as well as process engineering design calculations
Understanding of measurement, control and regulation technology, as well as for collaboration with electrical engineering and automation
Proficiency in engineering and CAD software, e.g. COMOS, AutoCAD Plant 3D
Responsibilities
Plan process plants from the concept phase through to detailed and execution engineering
Draw up and further develop process flow diagrams (PFDs) as well as piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
Design and specify process equipment, piping, valves and other plant components
Perform mass and energy balances as well as process engineering calculations for plant design
Coordinate technical requirements and interfaces with other departments
Prepare planning documentation for procurement, installation and commissioning
