Project Assistant (Prae-Doc) for Bio-Carbon Engineering

The Institute of Chemical, Environmental and Bioscience Engineering, Research Unit of Chemical Process Engineering and Energy Technology/Research Group for Chemical Reaction Engineering and Combustion, is offering a position as Project Assistant (Prae-Doc) for max. 4 years for 30 hours/week. Expected start: January 2022

Tasks:

  • Collaboration on research projects with an emphasis on the thermal treatment of biomass (e.g. pyrolysis, gasification) with the aim of a net negative CO2-balance
  • Preparation and implementation of experiments and measurements
  • Preparation of scientific publications in English and presentation of research results at international conferences
  • Possibility to carry out a PhD thesis

Your profile:

  • Completion of a master or diploma curriculum in the fields of Chemical and Process Engineering, Technical Chemistry or Materials Sciences
  • Skillful and responsible in scientific work
  • Enthusiasm for practical and analytical work at the optimisation of processes
  • Willingness to travel in the context of project meetings and international conferences
  • Very good skills in English communication and writing, good skills in German desirable
  • High degree of independence and capacity for teamwork
